vs. Les Bois

Yesterday West had their toughest game yet this year. They played Les Bois Jr. High and won 34-20. Les Bois is the first to score against West this year. One of the scores came as a result of an error on the part of West. They were attempting to punt and the center hiked the ball way over the punter's head. The punter ran back and fell on the ball at around the 15 yard line. Les Bois scored a couple of plays later. Only a couple of weeks left of play. Hopefully West will continue to be triumphant. I wasn't able to get any photos this week.

vs. East/Hillside

West played East/Hillside combined football team yesterday and won 22-0. According to Nick, his coach was upset that they didn't score 40 points and the boys will have to run because of that. I don't agree with that reasoning, but the boys did make some serious errors, like clipping on a kick-off return.
I told Nick that it looks like their only competition will come from Fairmont, but he said that Les Bois beat East/Hillside 40-0, so he thinks it will come from them.
I will post some of the pictures from his game later. His next game is Tuesday, Sept. 30 from 4-6pm at the new West Jr. High.

vs. Riverglen

Nick's playing 9th grade football for West Jr. High. Their first game was 2 weeks ago against Riverglen Jr. High. West won 38-0.
Today they played against North Jr. High and won 40-0.
